Peter Hanink
Peter Hanink came to the Disaster Accountability Project with the belief that the failed responses to hurricanes Katrina and Rita should never be allowed to be repeated.  He first worked with DAP while he was the Co-President of Brooklyn Law School's branch of the Student Hurricane Network.  He is a recent graduate of Brooklyn Law School where he was a recipient of the Moot Court Honor Society Graduation Award and a BLSPI Public Service Award.  

While attending BLS, he was the Vice-President of the Moot Court Honor Society.  During law school, he focused on promoting the rights of indigent defendants through his work with the Legal Aid Society of New York: Criminal Defense Division, the Center for Court Innovation, the Brooklyn Law School Capital Defenders Clinic.  He was also an intern for the Honorable Kathleen Tomlinson of the Eastern District of New York.  

Before law school, he was a public school teacher and Director of Community Education for the Princeton Review of Los Angeles.  During the Clinton Administration, he was an intern in the White House Office of Political Affairs.  He earned a B.A. with Honors in Political Science from Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles.
